@MartinSLewis A claim for those who paid more for a diesel car than petrol equivalent yet those same people who were quite happy to (wrongly) pay less road fund licence (road tax but we can’t call it that or people get upset). Surely the lower yearly tax offsets the price difference?

@edinburghpaper Back in 2008, Edinburgh was promised a 4-track ‘network’ for £250m. That turned into a single line for £750m (+£250m interest, taking it to £1bn by the time it’s paid off). How many more back-handers & blank cheques will it take before people are actually held responsible?

If you’re riding a bike on a road then you’re perfectly entitled to use any and all of the road space available. A bike is not slower than a bus, moped, tractor or learner driver so traffic behind can just wait their turn.

Drivers haven’t lost road space, still ample parking & cyclists can go about their business without having to constantly check over their shoulder for close passes. Nobody in Edin Council has ever ridden a bike & that’s the issue.

@edinburghpaper How many needed actual treatment and how many just had a loss of taste and smell or other mild symptoms? Case numbers are irrelevant. 992 cases out of 5.454million in Scotland is just 0.00018 % of the population!

@edinburghpaper Case numbers are irrelevant. Serious illness and hospitalisations are all that matter. “Stay home and protect the NHS” was what we were told the whole lockdown was all about.
