@newtownsupastar @sflorimm I think it was a combination of things. The first release was a huge leap, but the re-release, usage credit limits, and ChatGPT 5.6 launching at the same time took a lot of the wind out of Fable 5.

Built out a project file with AI last week and it was genuinely good. One flaw. It only knew what had been written down. The detail that actually mattered got said out loud on a call and lived in somebody else's notes.

4/ Rebuild it, then tie out every number against the old file yourself. AI got me to a cleaner structure in half the time it would have taken alone. It did not get me out of checking the math, and I would not trust it to.

3/ Then argue about the rebuild plan before you touch a cell. I went four or five rounds on structure in chat. Reworking a plan costs you a paragraph. Reworking a built model costs you an afternoon.

@ryanmckeen Same on the risk side of finance. I can write two pages on what kills a deal and half a sentence on why it works. Being wrong on the downside gets you a postmortem. Being wrong on the upside costs nothing. Only one of those muscles ever gets reps.

Biggest limit for me: it reads my files but can't write to them. I keep a living context doc for 20+ projects. New info lands every week or two, so I re-upload the doc and ask it to fold in the changes by hand. The file meant to save me time now costs it.

@araseb_ "Willing to pay" is carrying that whole sentence. I've got a dozen painful problems at my job and I've paid for none of them, because each one costs me ten minutes and never crosses the line where I go looking for a fix. The ones people buy are the ones that wreck an afternoon.

@hanifproduktif The trap isn't helping. It's helping the same way twice. Fix someone's work once, that's a favor. Turn the fix into a template they can reuse, that's leverage. Same 20 minutes, but one ends and one compounds. Being pickier helps. Being repeatable helps more.

@Jayyanginspires Half of this is right. Never be the bottleneck, always keep the ball moving. But the other person taking 3 days usually isn't disrespect. They have a job and life too. Move fast on your end, stay patient on theirs. Being maniacal about other people's pace is exhausting.
