At this afternoon’s Call to the Bar ceremony in Toronto, a degree of Doctor of Laws, honoris causa (LLD) was conferred upon the Honourable Kathryn N. Feldman, a distinguished jurist who has advanced the law in significant ways.
I am gratified @SCC_eng has reaffirmed the important role that interveners can play when appellants have so many substantive issues to address and so little time.
Can I say I'm really proud points made by @Cheryl_Milne and me on behalf of @AsperCentre @LEAFNational @WestCoast_LEAF acknowledged by #SCC re the "pattern of neglect with respect to s 15" and took srsly argument there is no hierarchy of rts in #Charter esp for appeal purposes
