When I was about 10 I asked the headmaster, who ran the #football team, if I could play in the #school team. He said no because I was a #girl! Thankfully times are finally changing

I’m raging! How on Earth am I supposed to make an apptmt for my mother to see a dr when I have just held on for half an hour, reached no 3 in the queue of 17 only to be cut off! She needs this apptmt to register at a new surgery to obtain the meds she needs!

My father was dying of dementia. My mother was trying to care for him. I broke the rules to help look after dad & support my exhausted mother. We managed to get 24 hour, live in care from the most wonderful carer. Dad wasn’t able to see my other three sisters. Heart breaking.

Unfortunately not everyone has a partner to rely on to help support them whilst they support their elderly parent! If I give up my self employed work then I have no income. How does that work then!

@janebramley Yes. Family used to come first not a me, me first. Sorry but that’s how it is now. My mother didn’t work as she looked after my grandmother - and so did thousands of other daughters.

I was at my friends house one summer’s evening. Her cat, of which I was afraid, was jumping up & leaping about trying to catch a very large moth fluttering around. Not sure which I was more frightened of the jumping cat of fluttering HUGE moth
