Today we took part in songfest. We had lots of fun performing our songs. #sthelensmusicservice
We completed our Chester Zoo Palm Oil Project. We talked about how important it is to protect the environment. We grew our rainforest and talked about what the orangutans need to survive there. We talked about what we can do to stop the orangutans from becoming endangered.
Reception went on an adventure to the @TheatreRoyalStH to watch Dear Zoo. It was very exciting getting on to a double decker bus. The children sat beautifully as they watched one of their favourite stories to come life.
A wonderful day on world book day 📕 Our children came dressed as their favourite character from a book. We snuggled up with a book and a biscuit and talked about our favourite stories.
We celebrated World Book Day by visiting the Theatre Royal in St Helens. We watched Dear Zoo and enjoyed seeing a live performance. We also dressed up as our favourite book characters, and some of us chose to wear our pyjamas to snuggle up with a book from our class book swap.
Thank you to our wonderful parents for the food donations for the food bank. We listened to the scripture John 6:1-14, ‘Feeding of the five thousand’ and the children made a promise to help others in need. @StMarysBB18
Miss Cartwright’s class looking ‘happy’ in yellow to celebrate children’s mental health week.
The children have had a lovely morning with their year 6 buddies exchanging gifts. We would like to thank all of the parents and children for your kind gifts for the reception staff 🎁 very much appreciated. We hope you all have a blessed Christmas.
Miss Cartwright’s class have had a wonderful party day. A beautiful performance from the St Helens music service , Santa came to visit with his reindeer, party food and a disco. Thank you to all parents for your contributions to the party food.
Today in RNC we are enjoying space day! Learning about Neil Armstrong landing on the moon, wearing our amazing space helmets.
The children did a wonderful job of their nativity performance this morning. Thank you to all of the parents that attended. The early years staff could not be prouder of the children.
The children have enjoyed wearing their Christmas jumpers today whilst raising money for the charity ‘Save the children’.
On Friday we spoke about Remembrance Day and why we wear poppies. We enjoyed making our own poppies with our year 6 buddies.
This week in maths we have been using the language more than and fewer than.
Today we spent time with our buddies talking about healthy and unhealthy foods. Together we cut out and sorted pictures into the correct category.
We have been practising our rhymes and songs in preparation for the Welcome Assembly! We can’t wait for our families to watch us and meet our buddies!
Today we have been scientist’s and experimented with colour. The children made predictions and observations.
Today in P.E we followed instructions to move safely around each other in the drama hall.
Well done to Hunter in Miss Cartwright class for achieving a high attendance for this term and being the lucky winner of the attendance raffle!
