We have published Part 2 of our article series: Turning Tax Credits into Cash , Case study of Howard Humphreys vs Kenya Revenue Authority In this piece, we take a practical look at how businesses can move from merely identifying tax credits to actually using them. The article covers the steps we follow when carrying out a Tax Credit Utilization Review, including reconciling withholding tax certificates, confirming KRA overpayments, obtaining Overpayment Adjustment Vouchers (OAVs), and assessing whether credits should be offset against future liabilities or pursued as cash refunds. This is a timely read for finance teams, tax managers, and business leaders looking to improve cash flow while staying compliant. Featuring insights from CPA Virginia, Tax Team Leader. 📢 TAX UPDATE | Excise Duty on Bottled Water Removed The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has announced the removal of Excise Duty on bottled water, effective 1st July 2026, following amendments introduced under the Finance Act, 2026. This means that bottled water manufactured or imported into Kenya on or after 1st July 2026 will no longer attract Excise Duty or require excise stamps. Manufacturers should, however, take note that: ✔ Excise Duty Returns for June 2026 must still be submitted. ✔ Taxes due for June 2026 remain payable by 20th July 2026. ✔ KRA will issue further guidance on the return of unused excise stamps and the decommissioning of digital stamps. Businesses operating within the manufacturing and beverage sectors should review the implications of this change to ensure continued compliance with the applicable tax requirements. At KKCO East Africa LLP, we remain committed to keeping businesses informed on key tax developments and their practical implications. #TaxUpdate #FinanceAct2026 #ExciseDuty #KRA #TaxCompliance #KenyaBusiness #Manufacturing #BeverageIndustry #IndirectTax #CorporateTax #TaxAdvisory #BusinessCompliance #FinanceProfessionals #EastAfrica #KKCOEastAfrica

This is what Brene Brown had to say in her book Daring greatly women are constantly questioned on their choices.

Literally. When it comes to your body, your sex life and your relationships, the world will always find a way to shame you. You’re doomed if you do, you’re doomed if you don’t. So just make sure the choices you make are truly yours.
