Experiment with improving design spaces in UE5 environments.
WIP lights, interior space design only.
1. Bland, default, just a start
2. Columns to break up flat walls
3. Adding angles to open up the space, better but not there
4. Adding detail, height change & angles - better
Cool way to blend 2 Normal Maps together in UE5 with Switch and then having the ability to replace the secondary Normal Map to create endless varieties with a Material Instances.

I'll show you how to blend 2 normal maps, control their intensities individually then also create Static Switch to enable or disable 2nd Normal Map.

in Maya, anytime you work at component level (faces, edges, vertices), you change the shape of the mesh.
Although the pivot point will remain at it's original location.
So to quickly modify and re-center the pivot point go to Modify > Center Pivot.

UE5: How to Adjust Normal Map Intensity the Correct Way - 2 Effective Methods Using Standard Material Editor
In this tutorial I'll break down 2 methods to control Normal Map intensity: a recommended, correct approach and a quick, prototyping alternative.

Modular assets and props were hand modeled and crafted in Maya. Textured in Painter. Then exported and brought to be used in UE5.
Love the entire process of going from nothing to something and then having the assets to create anything.
As a beginner environment artist, whether you are in Maya or any other 3d modeling software, treat the grid as your ground plane. Build your environment assets on top.

Create your own Liminal Spaces. Infinity tiled interior environments (rooms & pools) where layouts are only limited by your imagination. Create in the void.

You now need to adjust the default grid to match the scale of objects in the scene so they match real-world dimensions and scale.
You do this through Maya Grid options.
In Maya go to Display and Grid Options. Set up the following properties:
