@DanSchneierNFL Geno a better eg than Darnold imo. Also, do you see Geno, Darnold or Baker winning a SB before they retire? I said Arch because with Maholmes, Allen & Shanahan in the league for a while, i think we’ll need to draft some1 like that to compete for super bowls year in and year out.

@DanSchneierNFL The arg I make to the DJ needs to be cut crowd is at what cost? Who is the better altern out there? As you said last night, u know how much has to happen for them to be in a pos to get Arch in 2026? We got spoiled having 10+ years of Eli.. not easy finding the ideal QB.

@DanSchneierNFL Finally, I’ll say i wasn’t attacking you or defending DJ here. I was genuinely curious how others stack up here & whether this specific raw stat is a useful metric for the point you’re making. The simple eye test might be a better test because he clearly struggles hitting these.

@DanSchneierNFL 1. I agree 5 total in six years does not seem like it’s enough. Other data factors into this - offensive line play, number of attempts schemed up for this specific zone, etc. my point was the raw data, though directionally relevant, does not tell us much without context.

@DanSchneierNFL what percentage of his throws are made to this zone? same question relative to other QBs. I get it fits the narrative you’ve been preaching (not saying i disagree with it) but is it truly a DJ only “flaw” or is it just a diff pass for the general QB population to make?

@DanSchneierNFL solid analysis. 1 issue with the completed “5 deep passes to the far hash field side” is you need to provide some context. whats’s considered “deep”? why did you use that yardage as the threshold for this? how many “deep passes” have other completed during that period, etc. etc.

@DanSchneierNFL @HollywoodRutled To your original benchmark - “inside their own 20” - I don’t they threw a pick in that zone the entire season, which is why I looked at picks leading to starting FP within FG range. Could be wrong though.

@DanSchneierNFL @HollywoodRutled valid point but is it true here? Of all INTs by NYG in ‘23 - 2 pick sixes and 4 gave the opp a starting FP inside FG range leading to 2 TDs and 2 FGs. So being most generous to D - let’s say 4 TDs and 2 FGs attributable to picks. How much does this move the needle for D scoring?

By exposing yourself, what I mean is using TD as your basis of comparison to continue to belabor this point suggests your neurons may fire at a less explosive rate than DJ on Sundays.
