What happens is usually that people in their 2nd cycles start with a larger capital base than in their 1st having realised at least some uPnL from the 1st This, in turn, leads to difficulty in accepting the same stages within a 2nd market cycle that felt familiar in the 1st, because each move higher and through the stages brings your portfolio balance to previously unanticipated levels ‘This can’t really be happening to me - it must be the top soon’ This gets worse in the 3rd cycle but hopefully you’re able to recognise these emotions more clearly Truth is, the market doesn’t know you exist - your uPNL is utterly irrelevant to the broader market cycle So the concept of ‘this can’t be happening to me hence must be euphoria hence must be cycle top’ is actually just your present failure to adjust to the magical numbers on your screen

@cointradernik I never really thought about it like that actually. Maybe as I'm positioned better than I ever have been for a cycle I'm feeling relative euphoria mid cycle. Interesting.

Procrastinating "is the biggest waste of life," the Stoic philosopher Seneca wrote. "It snatches away each day...and denies us the present by promising the future." Want to stop wasting your life? Here are 8 Stoic tactics to beat procrastination:

Best books I read in 2022 1. The Daily Laws @RobertGreene "long term goals tend to generate anxiety...break tasks into smaller bites...have microgoals..what you are after is a series of practical results and accomplishments, not a list of unrealized dreams and aborted projects"

The most confluential long-term chart I've found in all of crypto. BTC Measured in USD divided by the sum of US M3 Supply and EU (dollarized) M3 Money Supply. In other words, adjusting the BTC price action by the expansion of the widest money supply aggregates. Think about it.

Bottom's in but everyone's too scared to believe it. As an anecdote, all of my retail friends most bullish at the top are now convinced this is just a bounce and we're going lower "because of macro." The market is forward looking, don't get left in the dust.

Biotechs may lead the next bull market! My screens showed several dozen up on big volume. The leading groups coming out of a bear market will show themselves as they rally the most off the lows. I have 30 biotechs doing that on Friday. Focus here. Do homework here.
