OpenAI just found a recording device hidden behind a TV in an executive conference room, planted by one of their own engineers. Fired and arrested.
In illicit trade investigations we know the process well. When the paperwork is clean and every shipment looks legit, sometimes the only way to know what a factory really produces is to have someone hired on the floor (and keeping that person's cover for weeks, with lawyers signing off on every step, is no joke).
Also worth noticing: OpenAI says it used its own models to trace the device back to the employee. AI doing the investigative grunt work, in a case that's literally about espionage. Love to see it!
What is real and can be confirmed is going to have exceptional value going forward
(1/6) From @GoogleDeepMind’s AlphaGo to AlphaZero, we saw machines find moves that reached beyond what we’d imagined for them. No one taught them those strategies. They emerged from reinforcement learning: playing, failing, and trying again under a single binary task reward for
We’re expanding our data center coverage now, and mining is next. Copper is an obvious place to look given what’s being built to support AI.
Ivan, we’ll be following your work in southern Peru and tracking how the project develops on the ground. Good luck with the exploration… looking forward to seeing how to all unfolds from above 🛰️

Whether a gigawatt costs $30B or $60B, one question matters either way no?
What’s been announced vs what’s actually being built?
Power secured. Transformers installed. Foundations poured. Capacity commissioned.
These are observable milestones. Why not measure the gap between the forecast and the physical reality?
Cipher’s pipeline looks very different when you break it down by project stage instead of headline GW.
Across the four campuses we track at GroundAlpha, 1.2 GW is classified as proposed, 207 MW as under construction, and 300 MW as operating.
The interesting part: our satellite

The interesting part: our satellite evidence hasn’t yet produced a readable movement signal for the project classified as under construction.
That doesn’t mean construction isn’t happening, it highlights the difficulty of independently verifying progress from public data and satellite imagery alone.
For $CIFR investors, what’s the strongest signal that a project is actually advancing: power agreements, permits, equipment deliveries, or physical changes on the ground?
