Shocked and appalled by the amount of comments labeling farmers as 'tax dodgers', and that they should 'sell up' for the UK to import all of its food. UK farmers pay Tax similarly to other businesses and individuals, covering income Tax, National insurance, Corporation Tax (if operating as a company), Capital Gains Tax, and VAT (if applicable). The main distinctions are in targeted reliefs, especially for Inheritance Tax (IHT), which helps to support the agricultural sector as a whole by allowing the transfer of farms for the next generation to work. If a farm is sold, Capital Gains Tax has to be paid on any realised profits. In 2024 the Agricultural industry contributed £14.5 billion to the economy and employed 452,900 tax paying workers. So farmers absolutely do pay taxes (and have done for hundreds of years), while currently providing 62% of all food consumed in the UK. What an honourable vocation. Thank you, Farmers. 🇬🇧

Labour are about to raise your taxes because Labour don’t want to stop spending £15 billion on asylum hotels, £13 billion a year on foreign aid, £12 billion on Net Zero, £10 billion on welfare for people who aren’t even British, £7 billion importing Afghans, £6 billion subsidising social housing for people who also aren’t British, £4 billion on welfare for people with “anxiety”, £1 billion policing the small boats, £600 million looking after foreign criminals, and £250 million translating NHS material into other languages for people who cannot even be bothered to learn English. Labour could make different choices; but Labour don’t want to.

Britain has been in decline for decades, but the speed of the decline since the Covid era is visible. Streets are dirty; high street shops, pubs and restaurant closures everywhere; transport infrastructures are a mess; the cost of living essentials like energy, food, fuel and water have rocketed, petty surveillance cameras and fines everywhere; public services are a mess; highest tax burden in decades; national assets being destroyed and then sold off to foreign corporations. You can feel it in the national psyche as well. Almost everyone I speak to feels downtrodden and fed up with so many things not working properly or costing too much. It’s actually heartbreaking to see a country that is surrounded by so many natural assets and should be functioning well reduced to so many aspects that are rotting from within. And yet we have a bunch of politicians who are running our country into the ground and still the vast majority of people are grudgingly accepting this. The state of the country completely unacceptable and it’s time for everyone to do something about it. Find your cause. Set up campaigns. Get involved in local activism. Coordinate and partner with communities of people. Whatever it takes. Ultimately, it’s up to all of us to actually try and do something about this. Because apathy is like a slow sleeping pill in society that enables bad governments to do very bad things.

No, I don’t agree that everyone who arrived in England after 1949 should be sent “home.” I don’t believe that Britain is a skin colour. It’s a set of values, customs, laws and traditions which make us British. You don’t need to be white skinned to embrace those. I do agree that we are being invaded by military age men who hate our values, and we should take urgent measures to deport those who are destroying Britain. Starting with foreign criminals. The border should also be closed immediately. Every single boat should be returned to France. If refuge is sought, then applicants must apply at a British embassy in the first safe country they set foot in, rather than crossing dozens of safe countries before entering Britain illegally. Politicians should put Britain first.

While millions of pensioners lose their winter fuel allowance, many within the Labour government continue to get funded by the taxpayer to pay for the energy bills in their second homes. They fleece us while we pay their bills.

They serve us. They should be spending our money as public servants rather than ruling zealots.

The Labour government are spaffing away £11.6 billion of our tax money on overseas climate aid and taxpayers pay for heating costs on MP’s second homes. Yet, the Labour government are cutting the winter fuel allowance for millions of pensioners. Shameful misplaced priorities.

MPs claimed more than £1m on expenses to pay energy bills in their second homes over a 6 year period. Taxpayers were charged £1,093,472.06 between April 2017 and September 2022. And now the government want to cut the winter fuel allowance for millions of pensioners. Them & us.
