Many of you have probably seen that I have been in a public conflict with Gil Duran over his failure to cite and credit my prior work. He has said: “I didn’t cite her because my work has nothing to do with her.” Here's an analysis of it. Decide for yourself. Link below:
@ashleeebug The men stealing original work. Ha! Does it surprise you? No. It just disappoints.
Gil Duran wrote a book on tech Fascism. He took many topics and ideas from Shanley Kane's website. He never cited her once. Here are the receipts.
@shanley @SandySandmeyer I'm sorry you have to go through this.
@SandySandmeyer He got it from me . helpshanley.substack.com/p/did-gil-dura…
Yesterday, I told Katie Miller that "reliable sources" on Wikipedia is ultimately just "left or center-left sources." Who are the people who decided what was reliable Ultimately, we don't know. That's by design; anonymity is baked into the system.
Wikipedia co-founder Larry Sanger on Wiki’s rules about which sources are considered reliable. Who at Wikipedia decides trusted sources? SANGER: “It’s a bunch of faceless people. We don’t know what country they’re living in, what media organizations they work for, or anything
Is Gil on this platform?
@shanley I hate people who steal credit and am mad for you
This August, "Nerd Reich" was published by Avid Reader Press, capitalizing on dissent to tech fascism. It became a bestseller. But it took the work of activists without credit or citation. And buried the real story. Receipts. Evidence. Timestamps. helpshanley.substack.com/p/did-gil-dura…
damn this goes hard....
Did Gil Duran Plagiarize Shanley Kane? — published by HELP SHANLEY ⚔️👄👀helpshanley.substack.com/p/did-gil-dura…

🚨#BREAKING: An employee for Flock told a reporter that if he wants privacy, he can "opt out of society." So that reporter filmed a Flock worker installing a Flock cam on a public road next to his house... ...so Flock called 3 POLICE OFFICERS to pull over THE REPORTER for following them Yep, you read that right... the surveillance camera company called the cops because someone was surveilling them install surveillance. The reporter's name is Brendan Keefe. He's a national investigative reporter who has been digging into Flock and police abuse of its surveillance network since January. Flock happened to be upgrading a camera about a mile from Keefe's own house, so he parked at a distance, put out his press placard, put on a yellow vest, and pulled out a news camera. The Flock installer saw him, packed up his ladder, jumped in his vehicle, and took off. Keefe followed several cars back to document the next installation. The Flock employee picked up the phone and called 911. "I work with Flock Safety, and I'm getting followed, harassed pretty much, taking videos and pictures." Next thing Brenden sees are THREE Georgia police cars with their lights on behind him. "The reason why I'm stopping you is because there is a vehicle that says that you have been following them." He was released with no charges. Because he did nothing wrong. Filming in public is legal in all 50 states.
If you care about privacy, take steps to ensure your TV isn't mining data.
I will pay a premium for a dumb TV. And, for that matter, for a "dumber" (less intrusive) phone.

Researchers spent 500 hours and $70,000 and found LG TVs logging plain text transcripts in standby, mapping every device in the house, and feeding it to LG's ad arm Unplug the internet and it saves the files until you plug back in. LG says its TVs don't record ambient
Lets get this going!
I need your help: I want to get more people into the WikiCritic beta-test. The launch will be huge, and you'll have bragging rights! How? It's easy. I've screenshotted some Wikipedia article introductions below. Post a review of JUST THIS (the "lede") below! 🧵👇
Wow! Just wow.
I gotta be honest: These people who have been playing footsie with Islam smells like kayfabe. If this wasn't obvious based purely on the merits, look at the names: Nick Fuentes, Candace Owens, Andrew Tate, and now Milo. The case of Tucker is also odd.

Let’s playyyyy
WikiCritic beta launching! Wikipedia is finally going to get criticism on their articles and the political slants they have on them without those discussions being shut down by a secret cabal of anonymous activists
Here's an excellent example of a #WikiCritic review. If you write one like it (about any Wikipedia article), I'll give you access to the beta. We're not launched yet, but the site works well and is looking better day by day. We want to launch with a browser plugin.
