@biancoresearch Honest questions Jim. Didn’t ycc “work” post WWII to hold rates down and inflate the debt away? Why do we think they can’t just do that again?

@chamath Please be clear. Do you support AI surveillance of US citizens or fully autonomous weapons?

“The Bitcoin ATH Will Not Be Televised” The Bitcoin all-time high will not be televised. It will not be sponsored by Coinbase, or streamed on CNBC between ETF commercials. There will be no Bloomberg ticker telling you when to care. The Bitcoin all-time high will not be live-tweeted by Jim Cramer. You will not see Michael Saylor on MSNBC explaining the power law curve to an anchor who still thinks it’s tulips. There will be no halftime analysis, no “bubble or paradigm shift” panel debate. The Bitcoin all-time high will happen in silence— on-chain, block by block, while most are asleep. You will not hear the sound of printers or the speeches of central bankers. You will not feel the FOMO until it’s already too late. There will be no confetti, no bell, no siren. Just a new block stamped forever in digital stone. The Bitcoin all-time high will not be televised, because the network doesn’t need your permission. It will happen peer-to-peer, across Lightning and satellites and nodes running in basements. It will happen because math does not wait for markets to agree. The Bitcoin all-time high will not be televised, because it will not be an event— it will be a realization. A collective awakening that fiat’s time is over. When the dust settles, you’ll turn on your screen, and the price will already be there— quietly, defiantly, a new number that means something different this time. The Bitcoin all-time high will not be televised— but it will be verified.

@truflation @AndreasSteno Cutting will cause treasury market dysfunction. They are stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Don’t be fooled. They cutting spending on some things to increase spending on others. This is not bravery. Bravery would be to slash federal spending.

The ugly truth is that they are breaking markets on purpose to force bond purchases so that they can continue to fund the egregious government spending that has been going on since the GFC.

President Ronald Reagan's radio address to the nation on free and fair trade on April 25, 1987. Here's what he had to say about tariffs.

@truecrypto Can tariff related inflation have deepened the Great Depression? Yes. Second order effects of having a price increase when liquidity is scarce is that consumption may fall. Will it here? I can’t be sure but if it does things will get even uglier.

@chamath The bottom 50% will care when companies lay them off in order to improve margins. You can’t take a financialized economy, wave a wand & expect that jobs aren’t tied to valuations -at some point (maybe not yet) they are. How do you think this ends!?

@kofinas In this financialized, reflexive world can you impact the stock market significantly without impacting the economy? I think not.

That #BTC drop had nothing to do with tariffs. Think about it. #BTC is the only asset that is truly borderless -how can tariffs affect it?

@Kasparov63 And people wonder why chess isn’t as popular as it once was. Valuing irrelevant rules over the game itself says a lot about what FIDE stands for.

I’m a big #BTC bull myself (I mean I kept the laser eyes!). But you have to be asking yourself what happens after #MSTR buys all the #BTC they can buy? Who’s left to buy? What happens when all those flows are no more? I’m not so sure this is good for #BTC in the long run.

Did you really think #BTC cared that you had laser eyes? Did u remove them because they were symbolic of a top in price? Shame on you! #BTC doesn’t care about you, or me, or even the president in the long run. #BTC is inevitable! F it! I’m keeping the laser eyes till $1M!

@elonmusk This is the lesson that government has forgotten. The space race in and of itself was not profitable but it triggered a huge number of advances.

Good place for #BTC to pull back and consolidate. We are too close to overheating too early. A few weeks of down to sideways will make for a higher peak. BTW This is why static price targets don’t work -targets need to be dynamic as the market is a dynamic system.
