@zbcox I’m not referring to the overall topics as a whole. I’m talking about the logic behind the classroom argument. You keep saying “we” like myself and these shooters are the same. We’re not. I’ve done nothing to justify having my rights taken away. That is the logic that is flawed.

You guys remember when one person in class would act out and then the teacher would punish the rest of the class for what that one person did? That’s the same logic followed by those that want to take away the rights of the whole because of horrendous actions committed by the few

@zbcox They’re not “what ifs” if there is actual historical proof behind it. Further, all you’re doing to attack the logic behind my argument is to try and defend your answer to the problem - which is contradictory to my belief that it is everyone’s inherent right to bear arms.

@zbcox What is the importance of keeping it to immediate consequences? Are the victims of genocide any less important than the victims of random gun violence?

@zbcox The consequences can actually be more deadly when it comes to free speech. Speech is what lead hitler to power. Speech is what allows for manipulation of the masses. It can and has lead to genocide.

We need to treat the illness. Not just the symptoms.

And yes, I know that the acts in question today are far worse than ever could be imagined, but that doesn’t change the faulty logic behind this line of thinking. Mental health is at the root of the problem today with these mass shootings - not guns.
