Honestly, I just like how they do it. Real people, their own language, no gimmicks. I'm writing up everything I learned from them this week. And next time I need a gift for a Navy friend, I know where I'm shopping. Follow so you don't miss it.

"Civilians won't catch it." I found that line in a Navy Humor ad, and it ended up explaining most of how this $29.99 tee store works.

The lesson I'm taking: you don't need a big budget if you serve a group with its own language. Find one joke format, make lots of versions, sell each as tee/crew/hoodie, and test with plain statics.

Navy Humor opened in Nov 2024. Almost two years later, Brandsearch estimates it's doing roughly $112K–204K a month, around $3.7K a day, on mostly static ads. One caveat: the ads marked active were last seen in June, so that flag may be stale.

The ads are cheap to make. 571 of 574 are static images, and most runs I saw lasted days to a few weeks before new ones replaced them. Some are signed by the founder with his Navy rate and years of service. That does more for trust than a review widget.

The copy only lands if you served. The ads talk about endless watches, field days and midrats, things nobody outside would get. They pitch the shirts as earned, not themed. Leaving outsiders out is the hook.

Every design comes in three prices: Tee $29.99 Sweatshirt $44.99 Hoodie $49.99 Same artwork, three SKUs. Their Oct 13 drop (F-14 Tomcat, Anchors Aweigh) went live in all three on the same day.

What stood out first: best-sellers #1, #5 and #9 are the same joke with a different ship or aircraft. Aircraft Carrier, P-3 Orion, Destroyer. One ad says they now have 150+ shirts in that "My Other Ride" line alone.

Navy Humor sells Navy humor tees, and it's veteran-owned. The earliest ad I found (Oct 20, 2024) went out before they had anything to sell. It was a teaser asking people to like and follow the page ahead of a November 1 opening.
