primary care is the bedrock of a health system. we have let it deteriorate—with payment models that don’t ensure team based care and actually incentivize teams to be in white affluent neighbourhoods. we can’t talk about universal healthcare when millions are without primary care.
Never forget that glorifying resilience instead of dismantling the oppressive structures that force people to be resilient in the first place...is in itself, a form of oppression.

the thing i don’t think is registering is that with each wave we are also drowning health workers and choosing not to wear a mask or get vaccinated because you are banking on hospital care is awfully unwise/cruel as a bed without staff is just furniture.
