My rule for AI in financial systems: - Nothing probabilistic sits in the path of the numbers. Test data is fine, but don't guess and present as real. - AI can read, classify, draft and flag. Every figure that reaches a ledger or report comes from deterministic, testable code.

AI coding agents don't lower the bar for verification. They raise it. Code is cheap now. Wrong code is still expensive. The costly failures aren't typing errors. They're specification errors that shipped too fast.

I don't write the code for the systems I build. I write the spec, set the architecture, define the tests and direct AI agents to implement it. The work didn't get easier. It moved from typing to deciding exactly what "correct" means.
