If you're studying ReSTIR I strongly recommend making the time to watch the recording of the "Gentle Introduction": dl.acm.org/doi/10.1145/35…. It's a good watch and a lot easier to absorb the info compared to reading the slides alone. ~3.5h but it's worth it (plays fine at 1.2x).

@KostasAAA @Nicolas_Lopez_ I never understood why DXC (or other HLSL compilers) on PC refuse to throw a warning for this. I know there's still some desire to abstract away scalar/vector registers at the HLSL level, but we've already bubbled those details up when wave ops were introduced.

Seems that we are rendering lots of <1 pixel triangles which are culled. "Sample Culled" = didn't hit a pixel. We have a simple LOD implementation, but it's not enabled due to a long lasting refactoring. Maybe time to prioritize it higher.
The 2024 FIRST Robotics Competition season has ended for team 8032, and I couldn’t be more proud of my students! They won the Gracious Professionalism award at one of their comps this year, made it to District Champs for the first time, and kicked a lot of ass 💪
Bringing the Prismatic subclass menu to life was one of my focuses for Final Shape, and it was a delight working with folks on vfx, cinematics, and audio again!! The effects and lighting around your character look so cool. I recommend dressing up and hiding your menu 👀💖
