Students work harder for teachers who value, care and respect them. And Adults do too! Relationships before rigor.

It takes 1 player who • doesnt work hard • badmouths coaches in locker room • doesnt bring energy • pushes team rules • has bad body language • complains on the bench To completely ruin the entireteam culture + chemistry. Dont be that one player. Buy in and be Team First.

Students enjoy class and perform better when: *They feel welcomed to class * Asked about their passions/ hobbies * feel safe to speak up * feel like a team * Treated w/ respect * Knows teacher cares * Celebrated what else?

Our students need recess, unstructured play, physical education, all the Arts, along with extracurricular activities. That's how we make their social/emotional health a priority. Which will also improve academics!

Teachers, remember you are not in competition with each other, but you're on the same team. And admin shouldn’t be the only ones to encourage, support, & inspire. Motivate each other! Build each other up.

There is a big difference between covering curriculum and letting students discover curriculum.

A1: Once I discovered & accepted that I don't have high, middle, or low kids, I embraced that I only have where-they-are kids. It's the only place they can be, and that's right where they need me to meet them. #TheJuiceChat
