Today I had the distinct pleasure of showing Ms Melo, our art teacher from Brazil, and her lovely family the new building as well as her classroom. Through tears(!) she talked about what a dream it was to be in the US and to be a big part of our legacy at Lyons Farm

HUGE NEWS: This month, Durham is going to be massively reshaped by the real estate industry. The industry is asking to lock in place over 400 football fields worth of land for permanently unsustainable single family sprawl. City Council is unlikely to demand it to be walkable.

I really never believed this would happen. Not like this. I just thought yes they’ll go into the occupied territories in the Donbas. I never thought there would be a coordinated attack. Kyiv, Kramatorsk, Kharkiv. I have just been in all these cities.

I was invited to give an MLK speech today and a small number of members of the group hosting me wrote and then leaked emails opposing my giving this speech, as it dishonored Dr. King for me to do so. They called me a "discredited activist" "unworthy of such association with King"
