@BenMullin Sorry to see this. This news program had a lot more substance to it compared to other prime time news programs. They also reliably and consistently covered important stories such as the war in Ukraine.

@paulkrugman Paul, Isn't inflation primarily caused by an increase in demand (i.e., government overspending on the pandemic, entitlements, student loans) without a corresponding increase in supply (i.e., China supply disruptions, lack of incentive to expand energy production, etc.)?

@garjones66 @paulkrugman Thanks for the explanation but aren't we taking about income tax rates? Tax rates of 40% on income above 37k £ seems extremely high to me. Seems like any tax cuts for this income level would stimulate growth. Are these income rates being cut?

@garjones66 @paulkrugman Thanks for the information. As wages are determined by what workers ultimately take home net of taxes, don't higher personal tax rates drive up pretax wages for employers? If so, doesn't this higher cost of doing business reduce economic growth?
