I understand not liking the Canadian system, or not wanting a Canadian-type system in the States. That's understandable. That's not what he said. He is talking about dismantling something in a country over which he is not the President and will never be the President. He's talking about what we should be allowing Canada - a country, not a state, not a territory, not anything the United States holds any control over - to have. He's speaking as if he has any say over Canada, or even knows what the hell is he talking about. In doing so, he is systematically eroding a generations-long close alliance. Leave Canada alone. Let them be our sovereign neighbor. Build a trade agreement with them. Stop the trolling. It's not helping anyone.

Trump’s approval numbers would be a lot higher if that was true. Also, a lot of people who are in the business of blaming Trump for all his problems seem to forget that Trump goes around the media daily. The media doesn’t make him post stupid shit, say ridiculous things, make bad policies, obsess about vanity projects, or lie relentlessly. He’s the most over exposed President in history — and that includes Obama. So pretending that his problems are the media’s fault may make sense for your business model, it doesn’t make a lot of sense as punditry or analysis. What is bizarre is the mock outrage over a team's choice to honor 20% of their fans in attendance (and a large percentage watching on TV).
