In this specific case? Because of the preponderance of available evidence.
Trump is obviously a sex pest with a proclivity for underage women. You need look no further than his walking into Miss Teen USA's dressing room to look at the naked girls. He admitted to doing as much on the Howard Stern show. He was also Epstein's best friend for over a decade, has been credibly accused of sexual assault dozens of time, and has been convicted of 34 sex crime related felonies (all from just one case).
In addition, multiple ex-KGB agents said Russia tried to recruit Trump in the 80s: theguardian.com/us-news/2021/j…
They have given him tons and tons of money over the years when no one else would finance him:

In his first term, Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, Carter Page, and George Papadapalous were all found to have criminally collaborated with the Russians in Trump's favor, something he publicly courted and welcomed ("Russia, if you're listening...)
He never criticizes them. Ever. Find another country that Trump has flatly refused to say a bad word about. It does not exist.
He's compromised. The level of compromise and the mechanism by which Putin has extraordinary leverage over Trump remain undiscovered--largely due to Republican obstruction of such investigations. I suspect that it is almost certainly his sex crimes. But he is compromised, make no mistake.
Literally happened all the time from 2016-2021 when you were one of his most fervent supporters.
Don’t let these people forget that they had no problem with any of this throughout the Trump era. They only found the courage to speak up when they were on the outs.

@DanCrenshawTX Putin OWNS him. Subservience to Russia, tariffs, and a total lack of foresight are the three most consistent things about Trump.
When are Republicans going to get it? The President is a traitor to US interests
@kilmeade Yes. Democrats remember who the good guys are.
Trump has never, in spite of all your network’s cover and pandering, been a good guy. He has always been an awful person and has always supported Russia. It has been extremely obvious.
Shame on you for supporting him for a decade.
I am plenty aware of what is happening in Gaza. It is a litany of war crimes being committed against a captive population with no recourse. It is awful, and we fund and weaponize the government committing the atrocities.
In terms of what is affecting ordinary Americans every day (I.e. what people are going to vote because of) the tariffs have had a more obvious and visible impact. People are losing jobs, companies are going out of business, and it feels we are tap dancing on the edge of an economic catastrophe.
We would be better off on both issues if people had voted against Donald Trump. You cannot make change without power, and we gave it up because some people didn’t like that the previous administration “didn’t do enough” in their view.
Would any of those people argue that either we or the people of Gaza are better off now? Cool, then stop making it the only thing that matters. Everything matters. Everything is on the table. This government is against America as an idea. If they are successful, we will have no standing on the international stage, and no power to make change.
So start standing against them and stop fighting the people trying to hold them to account. Wouldn’t want to repeat the same mistake we keep on making of saying “both sides are the same so there’s no one to vote for!” Right?
You can independently point out that the administration is doing a horrendous job without shoehorning in Gaza.
I would say that the war with Iran, the tariffs, and the general lawlessness of our nation under Trump all supersede the Gaza issue. It is fine to highlight them.
Israel is committing war crimes in Gaza. They are. And they have this administrations cover for those crimes.
It would have been nice if voters had considered how a Trump admin would handle relations with Israel given how buddy buddy Trump has always been with Netanyahu before the 2024 election, but SOME people decided that it was more important to throw a tantrum than to prevent mass pain and suffering. Now that Trump has, predictably, taken a sledge hammer to both American international standing and the rule of law, yeah, Gaza has taken a backseat to issues that affect the everyday lives of Americans more visibly and obviously.
You’re right. I did use the wrong version of “their” there. I was wrong, my mistake.
See how easy that was? Admitting to mistakes can be cathartic. When are you all going to admit you made a mistake in supporting a criminal with wet tissue paper for brains who is making us all poorer while looting the country to enrich himself?
Anytime now. Hopefully before November 3rd.
@ChuckGrassley Maybe those Americans shouldn't have participated in a conspiracy to overturn a free and fair election.
Maybe you should apologize, Chuck, for casting aspersions on core tenets of American democracy. Then you should retire. You're far too old to be representing anyone.
