Hi everyone, I took out sometime to work on an AWS data pipeline this weekend. Credit to Joao Pedro whose article I leveraged for this project. This project leverages Apache Airflow as an Orchestrator and our airflow dag in the first step gets pdf data from a Brazilian education websites and uploads it to S3. The second part is a lambda function, triggered by the PDF data stored in S3, extracts the data and transforms it to Raw JSON files and uploads them to S3. the third step is Airflow triggering a Glue Job that processes the data, the processing includes extracting all the exam questions and filtering them according to the various years. The data is uploaded in a processed folder in S3. This is a project that can be leveraged for different purposes. So for me, @krakenfx is officially the worst exchange platform from where to buy Crypto. Here is the experience I had, be the judge! I logged into the @krakenfx platform to buy bitcoin, something I've done often. I executed the transaction and it was unsuccessful. I got a failure message from @krakenfx asking me to contact my bank or administrator. I reached out to my bank and noticed that the funds had been deducted from my account although the transaction was not successful. I called my bank and they told me that the transaction had not posted yet and that I should wait for it to process and that it usually takes about 24hrs to process. So I waited for 24 hours hoping that the transaction will be reversed and my funds returned to my account. 1 day passed and nothing happened. In the meantime, I had not received any message or email from @krakenfx. So I decided to reach out to them and find out what was happening. I called their support center and they created a case for me and told me their transaction specialists will reach out to me through email to help me resolve my issues. Then 24hrs after, one of their support guys reached out to me and these are the things he required from me: "Hello Primus,   We are writing to inform you that we require additional KYC information to process your held and/or future transaction(s).   Our support team is here to assist you, please reply directly to this message if you have any questions. Once the information requested is provided, it will be reviewed within 24-48 hours.   Important: Opening additional support tickets, live chats, or calling our phone support line may delay the resolution time.   To proceed, please complete the following 2 steps:   1) Provide an Account Security Photo via our secure upload link:   After reading Kraken's support article Beware of Scams, please provide a photo of yourself holding your ID document and a handwritten note stating:   "For Kraken.com cryptocurrency exchange - Support Ticket # my ticket number " "My email address is: my email" "I have read and understood Kraken.com's Beware of Scams warning. I acknowledge crypto asset withdrawals are irreversible" the current date and your signature Please ensure that: The photo is high quality and all details are clear. Take the photo with a high-resolution camera under sufficient lighting conditions. Ideally with a smartphone instead of a webcam or a tablet. We can see both your arms holding up your ID and handwritten note (see example image below)." I've redacted the ticket number and email for anonymity. So I replied to them asking why I need to hold a picture up like a man captured by criminals and forced to read a specific text (in movies). I just wanted someone to tell me why my funds are being held. They kept responding with the same message for the next 4 back and forth emails I had with this support team, its the most painful support experience I've had in years. This team responded once in 24 hours, so the 3 back and forth sessions took place over day 2, 3, and 4 of my funds being held by @krakenfx. I reached out to my bank again to try to dispute the funds being but they told me that the transaction is still processing and so they could not help me. I finally gave up and here I was looking for someone to come take a picture of me with my both hands held high and my emotions forcing me to either laugh or cry, well you need to see the photo, its the most embarrassing experience you can think of. After meeting all the requirements above, the weired @krakenfx support team came with the second requirements, please read: "Hello Primus,   Thank you for sending as the Account Security Photo and answered our questions, we appreciate.   As part of Kraken’s normal compliance routine on transactional activities, we are requesting: A photo of the front and back of the debit/credit card(s) - last digits (four digits of my new bank card) and (four digits of my older bank

to deposit funds on your Kraken account. The bank statement(s) showing this/these transaction(s).   When taking the photos of your card(s), please make sure that the first 6 and last 4 digits of the card(s) and your name are visible - please hide the remaining information with a piece of paper." I was fuming at this as I responded, I asked them why they did not ask all what they needed at once, and why I have to wait for the next 24 hours to get a response after providing the new details. I took the bait and gave them the details, fortunately, they returned to me with a response two hours afterwards, here was their response: "Hello Primus,   We are pleased to inform you that your Kraken account is once again fully operational.   If you had experienced any unsuccessful purchase attempts, you are now able to try again.   We appreciate your patience and understanding during this process." Here i was, waiting to hear why my funds are being held, and that's the response I get. I felt so bad and wrote to the team with a furious tone, requesting to know why they haven't responded to the reason why I'm going through the embarrassing experience. THE ONLY REASON WAS TO HAVE THEM REFUND ME OR TELL ME THE REASON WHY MY FUNDS WERE BEING HELD. Then the @krakenfx team replied about an hour later telling me they had escalated this and will get back to me. I dropped to my desk and felt stupid. Questions for you @krakenfx 1. Why do you not have a process in place where someone can call and have the suppport they need, why do they need to wait for an email 24hrs after? 2. Where is my money and why is it taking 6 days and nothing coming out of it? 3. Are you doing business with my money? Can I have the profits made out of keeping my money? 4. Can you pay for the business lost as a result of wasting all this time and frustrating my business? 5. Can you pay for the frustration I've gone through these past 6 days? Horrible, horrible, horrible @krakenfx! Change.
