Card #441 is an interesting one. Picture a forward. Plays more than 1100 gms in the NHL. Only scores double digit goals 3 times in a season over 18 sns & was only a + twice in his career. How do they last? Who are they? Kelly Buchberger managed to make a career of the intangibles

Card #440 offers a funny story about Dave Brown. Dave would be thankful for the trade to Edmonton as it allowed him to win his first and only Stanley Cup. Not known for his point production even back in junior, Dave played the hard minutes which sometimes turned into PIMs.

#438 reminds us of the Lokomotiv tragedy. Brad McCrimmon was an NHL vet of over 1200 games including a Cup. He'd become an NHL assistant coach for a number of years before accepting the head coaching job in the KHL. He is best remembered by his Wife & children who knew him best.

Marc Habscheid is #437. Imagine being a Centre. Getting drafted to the NHL in 1981 and you tear up junior scoring 151 points in 55 games. But...you're an Oilers prospect. Marc had to work hard to get NHL ice & a trade to the Stars helped pave the way for him to play daily.

Card #436 takes us to Rick Green. Green was an NHL vet by this point and this would be he last "full" season. He would play 65 games with Wings & just 4 the following season with the Isles. Best year was with Caps scoring 8 goals & 41 points. He'd coach in NHL for 11 seasons

Card #435 or Brent Fedyk as his family knows him. He was best known for some great seasons in Philly but he was riding up front with Fedorov & Garpenlov for a while. 90-91 saw him as one of 9 Wings with 15+ goals. Traded for 4th round pick in 92 to Flyers & had 2-20 G seasons.

#434 is Wayne Presley. Wayne had his finest offensive season in 86-87 which was his first full NHL season. We would adapt his game as time went by & was 5th in Selke voting in 95. Wayne was also a playoff performer scoring a higher goals & points per game rate than reg. season.

#433 is a huge reason the Rangers won in '94. He would come with Matteau as part of the deadline trade in '94 for Amonte. Matteau would score the Gm 7 OT goal to move the Rangers to the Finals. Then Noonan would score the winner in Game 7 to win the Cup the next series.

#432 is the Human Pinball. Jocelyn Lemieux doesn't come up as a search for that nickname today. He is the brother of Claude & would score 10+ goals 4 times in his career. This card is one of 4 rookie cards made of him & he was best with the Hawks & even had two deep playoff runs.

#431 takes us to Mike Hudson. As a former 7th round pick he did very well having a nice lengthy NHL career. Mike would play over 400 regular season games and would win a Cup with the '94 Rangers. He played the whole season but didn't get any playoff action that year.

#430 is a seriously underrated superstar! Michel Goulet as the Nords version of Jari Kurri. An amazing winger who played with a generational C. He'd average 0.5 goals per game for his career and over a point a game in his 1000+ games played. 4 straight 50+ goal seasons as well!

#429 showcases Greg Gilbert. Former NHL coach nearly bookended his career with Stanley Cups. Won two in his first two seasons with the Isles and another in his second last full season with the Rangers. Greg also scored 31 goals in his first full NHL season. Played over 830 games

#428 gives us Jacques Cloutier's RC and his best NHL season. Jacques would play for some pretty awful teams & as a result would often be on the losing side. 255 games, 82 wins including 3 SOs and 2 came in 89/90. Today he's Hartley's assistant coach for Omsk in the KHL.

#427 is a legend for sure, Chris Chelios. This was the trade that finally brought Chris and Denis home. Chris would have some amazing seasons with Chicago but never win a Cup while there. He'd match a career high of 73 pts in '93 & another season with 72 pts in '96 while there.

Card #426 is Ric Nattress. Ric can be seen both with and without a 'stache on this card. He would win a Cup in 89 with the Flames and retired after playing just half a season & setting a career high in goals with the Flyers with 7. Nearly had more career PIMs in junior than NHL!

Card #425 Frank Musil another player snubbed for a couple years before getting a card in 89-90. He would play nearly 800 NHL games for 4 different clubs. While I am sure some would airbrush the heck out of this card, I like this approach with the trade bar & current team colours.

Card #424 is one I don't remember at all card or player. Roger Johansson was an excellent offensive defenseman in the SEL. He didn't have the same success in the NHL but managed 17pts in 38gms with the Flames. Won an Olympic Gold, and scored 2 goals during the Olympics as a D.
