@TOEwithCurt lying can be functional and when it’s done repeatedly, the awareness of it becomes unconscious as a means of reducing cognitive load. Although, it’s possible that this changes the definition of it to misperception or distorted thinking, depending on how you define lying.

I’m a psychedelic assisted therapist and made for a friend… Not everyone is the same and the right music varies widely depending on your interests, dislikes, temperament etc. I would always suggest spot checking to see if it resonates. If a song is bringing up something you don’t want, give it 30 seconds before deciding to change it. It may be that you need to experience whatever is coming up, or it may be that the song is not the right fit for you.

It’s more typical of places that have serious winters, and much shorter days… I’m a therapist in Minnesota, and it’s relatively common here for people to bring them out in winter- it’s dark when you wake up, and dark again around 4pm, while temp can sometimes be minus 30 degrees Fahrenheit. Historically, our ancestors would’ve just slept a lot more, but modern demands convert this hibernation like activity into depressive mood states and anhedonia.
