I used to be so good at the frog launcher game. Kid me used to roll up to the boardwalk and just slam dunk them in and collect those huge plushies with the weird styrofoam stuffing. Wonder if I’ve lost my touch, or if it’s like riding a bike.

Read. Victorian gothic horror, spirits, mediums, LESBIANS. Waters is so good at twists and some absolute A+ yearning. I read this between other books and every time I came back to it, I was a little impatient but the ending was worthy. Uneven, mayyybe, but she can spin a yarn.

Read. Shorter than I expected and focused way more on the land and nature, which was a surprise, but the writing was juicy. Some solid humor, I had to laugh every time Ichabod crane brought up cotton Mather. We love a little old timey Americana, even if it wasn’t very spooky.

Been really depressed lately, perhaps more than ever before in my life, and having several hour long panic attacks almost daily so I’m looking at old Dracula covers instead, as one does, and I gotta say - I like the pulpy ones best. A vampire killing me could fix me. Well.
