After Pearl Harbor, federal agents came to our communities and took people away to undisclosed detention centers, without word from them for months or even years. Some died there. It preceded the forced internment of 120,000 of us, mostly U.S. citizens. Be vigilant. #NeverAgain

Racial injustice goes far beyond police brutality. Black families have 1/10th the wealth of white families, over half of Black workers earn less than $15/hour, and Black families are much less likely to have decent health insurance. The fight for justice continues on all fronts.

Penguins in the Amazon?! 🐧🌴 Some of the penguins went on a field trip to meet other animals at Shedd. Wellington seemed most interested in the fishes in Amazon Rising! The black-barred silver dollars also seemed interested in their unusual visitor.

I also met with @BernieSanders before announcing my candidacy. We had a nice one-on-one conversation and I informed him that I would be running for President. In that meeting, he showed me the greatest respect and encouragement, just as he always has.
