On #internationalwomensday it was a proud moment at #UTAR convocation for my DSc(Hons) to celebrate the fact that the Australian foreign minister, Ms Penny Ying-Yen Wong, was born in Malaysia and is now the longest serving female cabinet minster in Australia's history.

A most humbling experience to receive the Honorary Doctor of Science from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) University, where I have been adjunct professor for over 15 years. This honour was the first to be afforded a non-Malaysian in the University's history.

@edleonklinger There really are not any words. Whatever the wrongs that Israel is perceived, or has actually done, no provocation can justify this barbarity. One almost thinks the degree of the barbarity was designed to provoke the rage, which Hamas now use to scapegoat Israel.
