@teachforever54 This may just become a project: Finding the Freedom Schools. Identifying universities that help prepare teachers by ensuring a strong foundation of knowledge and quality practice for teaching kids to read. Food for thought.
For balance. Univ of Delaware is a phenomenal partner to local school districts. They provide coaching, support, and teachers steeped in reading research. They and Delaware St are BOTH strong with Reading Foundations. Del St is also great with selecting strong mentor teachers.

@teachforever54 This may just become a project: Finding the Freedom Schools. Identifying universities that help prepare teachers by ensuring a strong foundation of knowledge and quality practice for teaching kids to read. Food for thought.
@KJWinEducation We should find more universities that ARE preparing teachers based on the science and share those universities.
For balance. Univ of Delaware is a phenomenal partner to local school districts. They provide coaching, support, and teachers steeped in reading research. They and Delaware St are BOTH strong with Reading Foundations. Del St is also great with selecting strong mentor teachers.
