Wall Street Blackout vs. Tech Selloff: When the data feeds glitch and the AI trade buckles at the same time. Data blind spots hit NasdaqA network outage at Nasdaq's primary Carteret data center triggered real-time pricing data gaps across $NDAQ, NTX, and PSX. Trading was not halted, but brokers had to quickly failover to Chicago backup feeds and recover missing tick packets. AI momentum cracks as Old Economy takes the wheelTech took a heavy blow as persistent inflation concerns and rising skepticism over debt-funded AI capex triggered a broad chip selloff. $NVDA, $AMD,$MU, and $WDC faced intense selling pressure, pulling$QQQ down hard. Meanwhile, solid US retail sales and low jobless claims fueled a textbook rotation into defensives, industrials, and financials, keeping $DIA firmly in the green. Tech is resetting while cash flows back into fundamentals.

@NVIDIARTXSpark @ASUS I would start by finally creating all the videos I’ve wanted to make for decades - I just lacked the right tools. The best time to be alive, the best time to be creative! #ShareYourSpark

I know a founder who, from day one, always positioned himself above his employees; he had a correspondingly poor approach to leadership and would never take on any of the heavy lifting himself. Now his business is going under, also because he never learned how to do the dirty work himself, and because he always blamed others, as he still does today. You guys are great. All the best to you!

@scottmelker Definitely! And no one else could have phrased them. Very powerful!

"Should I lead with 'I noticed an issue on your site'?" - I’ve received countless emails like these over the years. And every single one of them ended up in the spam folder. That’s rarely a good way to start, especially when someone has poured their heart and soul into their website.

$NVDA is getting sold today on AI debt and rate fears, and the German government is lining up another “major partnership” with hundreds of millions in taxpayer money. Classic Merz timing... Siemens, Audi and Telekom get to pose with Jensen Huang in Berlin, and Merz gets a photo-op about Germany catching up in the AI race. We’ve heard this story before. Announcements are easy. Execution under this government is not. I can’t stand reading this anymore. Really, I can’t. Do your jobs so that our country doesn’t fall even further behind, instead of just constantly talking. I’m sorry, but it really pains me to see my country’s economy falling apart.

@m99151272 God is there for you, even when you don’t feel Him. Your whole life might be going to shit, but He is always there. Always. Pray for you!

@6ixxtar Made my day!

@RaphaelRedmer Hi aus Hannover. ;) Ich blogge seit gefühlt ewig, schreibe eBooks und baue an Einigem, das in den nächsten Monaten im Anflug ist.

@Marcel4EU Perhaps because there is already an electrical grid there?

Wall Street is mixed today as the AI trade wobbles for a second consecutive session. While $DIA holds green (+0.6\%) and $SPY trades near flat, $QQQ and the Nasdaq face renewed pressure, down 0.5\% to 1\%. Hot inflation prints from the CPI and PPI reports, coupled with fresh worries over heavy AI infrastructure borrowing, spotlighting names like $CRWV, are keeping risk appetite tightly in check. Safe-haven flows into Treasuries remain strong, translating directly into hard assets: WTI crude ($CL) pushes toward $96.7 (+1.6%), gold futures climb near $4,180 (+1.8%), and silver catches a firm bid around $57 (+2%). Meanwhile, $BTC trades slightly lower near $81.3k. The weakness is heavily concentrated in high-beta tech. $NVDA is sliding another 2-3% on top of yesterday's losses, and semiconductors and neoclods broadly look soft. Despite stellar prints from $TSM and Anthropic, higher-for-longer rate fears and lingering valuation and debt questions are completely overriding the positive fundamentals for now. A classic risk-off rotation in tech, while defensives and commodities catch a relative bid.

Here’s what most market commentary still underweights: the difference between a good company and a good stock is almost entirely a function of the price you pay relative to the durability of its free-cash-flow stream, and that gap widens dramatically once interest rates stop being near zero. $AAPL remains the clearest large-cap case study of how valuation can dominate even an exceptional business.

Another macro headache for tech bulls right before the bell. Solid US jobless claims just hit the tape, proving labor resilience and driving bond yields higher after yesterday's hot inflation print. Traders are trapped between explosive AI fundamentals at $TSM and tightening financial conditions dragging on $SPY and$IWM. Cash or dip-buying today?

Wall Street faces the ultimate tug-of-war at the open today: 5.2%+ Treasury yields vs. monster $TSM earnings. After global AI and chip stocks got hammered in the inflation sell-off, TSMC just reported a 68.7% profit surge to $23.86B and guided Q4 revenue above $52.3B. When a mega-cap foundry posts a 51% net profit margin, it proves hyper-scaler capex from $MSFT, $GOOGL, and $META is nowhere near peaking. Are you buying semiconductors into this macro dip?

We are all increasingly losing the freedom to do what we want with our money. It is no different here in Europe. Cash limits, all the registration and verification processes at crypto exchanges and brokers - and so on. Bit by bit, our freedom is being taken away. I don't know where this will end...

Asia sinks as Wall Street's inflation hangover hits the trading floor. Following yesterday's hotter US CPI print and tech sell-off, major regional indices closed sharply lower. Hong Kong's Hang Seng ($HSI / $EWH) and mainland Chinese equities mirrored the broad risk-off sentiment as tech and export-heavy sectors faced heavy profit-taking. Global liquidity is tightening as bond yields climb. Will Asian stimulus measures be enough to defend key technical supports?

@kevinrose Just as it should be. I find OpenAI’s negligence completely incomprehensible.

The most expensive mistake in crypto is confusing high conviction with the need for constant activity. Real investing is fundamentally boring: do the research, allocate capital to $BTC or undervalued assets, and let time do the heavy lifting. Checking the 4-hour chart every morning doesn't accelerate compounding—it just turns an asymmetric bet into an emotional prison. Set the thesis, define your risk, and live your life.

@ColumbusBitcoin I occasionally write about BTC and other cryptos. And I also want nothing to do with engagement farming.

The math is brutal: you cannot sustain 30x forward multiples with 10-year yields sitting above 5.3%. The market is witnessing the largest capex deployment in corporate history across compute, energy, and data centers. Yet monetary policy and geopolitical escalation in the Middle East are draining macro liquidity right when growth needs it most. Earnings growth hasn't broken. The discount rate did.
