Water Service & Traffic Advisory – Slayter Street – Water Main Repair Stop-and-go traffic near 79 Slayter Street, Dartmouth, for an emergency water main repair. Water service will be temporarily shut down in this area. Sidewalks remain open. halifaxwater.ca/notice/slayter…
Snow Clearing Update (Feb. 5, 7 a.m.) Operations are active in all areas. The majority of main arterials are clear and passable and crews continue to focus on priority areas. More information: brnw.ch/21wGGpb
Just to give you a status update, all mains are plowed but certainly ugly, some secondaries have had a cut through, that’s what they’re working on today. All equipment is on the road as of right now we’ve received almost 30 cm. Looks like five more centimetres to go

Apparently they're planning to tear down the playground/park area next to Lake Banook to install an Athlete's Village, on city property. This will be a great investment for the one week every 10 years we need something like that.

@SamAustinD5 Appreciate the update. Some changes make sense. Others are disappointing especially the destruction of current wooded areas to be replaced with large concrete structures.
