This was like my most productive day ever. I shot, edited & posted 4 videos. Did an hour long text AMA on Amino. Watched & took notes for an hour on the book Primal Branding...& went to a 3 hour steam punk themed murder mystery party @ my sisters. How did I do all that?

Just picked up my tickets for Great Austin Comic Con next weekend. I'm way more excited than I thought I'd be. In particular for the @JohnWesleyShipp panel. The panel schedule on Saturday afternoon is like a summary of various movies and TV shows I watched growing up.

So we’re re-watching season 9 of the Office for the 1st time since it originally aired. We are in agreement that we hate this season more than any other season of any show ever. As a point of reference, we’ve rewatched seasons 1-4 more than any other seasons of any show

40th finished book of 2018! As the title suggests this book helps you to generate a business model. I actually bought a white board so I could brain storm my business model in a comedically over-the-top way. Book was recommended by @timschmoyer from videocreators.com

So a couple days ago we announced the first and middle names of our new daughter as Charis and Makenna. The older daughter then said, “I know what her last name can be, Ahsoka Tano.” I didn’t have the heart to tell her that’s not how names work. So it stuck.

39th finished book of 2018. This is a collection of essays from Malcolm Gladwell published in the New Yorker. The stories range from Caesar Milan to the Enron scandal. @Gladwell is one of my favorite thinkers and authors, so of course I found this book intriguing.

38th finished book of 2018. Interesting book on creativity, ideas and success from @AdamMGrant. The focus focuses on counter-intuitive sources of brilliance. It discusses the value of procrastinating as well as being prolific over being perfect...& the problem w/ brainstorming

It’s always fun when my co-workers discover my YouTube channel. It’s always the same conversation, “Duuude! You’re so different online. You talk totally different and you’re so animated.” If you’re wondering, in real life I tend to be shy, quiet and keep to myself.

Why is Twitter trying to turn my notifications into a second feed? My notifications are already pretty crowded. I really don’t need Twitter notifying me that 3 people I subscribe to liked a picture.

37th finished book. Fascinating... as it’s an auto-biography written 13 years before he became president. while it is a biography of the 1st African American president, it doesn’t read like an origin story of an important figure. It’s the story of man reflecting on race & family

33rd finished book of 2018. 60% great book on the ways the earth has flattened and how anyone with a computer can find success in the 21sr century. It barely touches on YouTube but it’s all about why there’s a rise of things like YouTube critics. It’s way too long though.

A year ago this was a hobby that didn’t look like it was going anywhere in particular. Now, while I’m not sure what entirely this means, it’s hard to not see this as my future. Work hard. Study hard. And fail a lot! You can make dreams happen.

It was a year ago that I hit 1,000 subscribers. It took 9 months of hard work to do it, and it was an amazing accomplishment. I had no clue I’d add 29,500 subscribers in the next 12 Months. It’s bizarre how my life is kind of the same as before and kind of totally different.
