Only player to throw a perfect game in 12 year history of the AAGPBL, hurled a no-hitter the next season. Annabelle Lee passed on her pitching knowledge to a nephew, gave him his first left-handed glove, and became one of the biggest influences in his life. He grew up to become a lefty junkballer just like his Aunt Annabelle. Better known as Bill “Spaceman” Lee "I like to think I got my competitive nature from her, my Aunt was the best baseball player and the best athlete in the family, including me" Annabelle Lee, AAGPBL. She was buried in her AAGPBL uniform

"Curt Flood sued the game. He asked for changes in baseball’s reserve clause & $1.4 million in damages. His lawyers & union chief Marvin Miller warned his chances of winning were slim. “If you go ahead with this, forget any idea of ever being the first black manager. Or even a coach or a scout. Forget it!" Curt Flood responded: "I want to go out like a man instead of a bottle cap." In my HOF!!!

@JoeDomagala @Sid_Seixeiro Right! Witnessed him induce a balk from 1B after he drrew a walk while he was with Boston, doesn’t count as a stolen base but he psyched out the pitcher and pilfered it sure enough!

This year for Halloween, I am MASSIVE ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR THE MBTA. As your State Rep., I have consistently fought to tax the rich and large corporations so we can fund bigger investments in public transit. This work is starting to pay off — and there’s lots more to do! 🚊💰
