Not all masks are created equal. N95s are far more effective at preventing the spread of COVID-19. I applaud the Biden Administration for making 400 million N95 masks available for free around the country. It is a good first step, and more must be done.
@SenSanders Hoping Sen Sanders will focus on a higher priority soon. National Security, Economic Security, healthcare…. Safe streets, clean drinking water in Flint MI … one of the ideas.
@SenSanders First step… that didn’t take long 🤦
@SenSanders So let’s see, first we’re told masks aren’t effective. Then the multi-month push to wear a face covering saying it’s the best. Now suddenly, all the money spent on face coverings are down the toilet because now they’re bad and it’s all about N95. /1
@SenSanders Eric "Otter" Stratton: Now we could do it with conventional weapons, but that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part!
@SenSanders I won’t applaud president Biden before he sends masks to 3rd world countries. It’s our moral obligation to prevent deaths all over the world. It’s shameful that we celebrate this and neglecting those who can’t protect themselves.
@SenSanders The population is over 329 million so we all basically get one mask? How long is that supposed to last us? They’re rated for a maximum of 40 hours of use. Then what? It’s better than the republicans did I guess but still too little too late and far short of what we need.
@SenSanders Really, a nice 1st step? Biden has been in office for a year & getting masks is a nice 1st step. The American people deserve better, come mid terms we will see if we can accomplish a nice 1st step.
