Q1 - At what point in the Sales process should engineers be introduced to the client? Could or should a basic system design be developed prior to the introduction? Is there a threshold that if surpassed could become a detrimental? What is the ideal solution? #AVintheAm
@chris_neto There is not real exact point. It’s up to the sales person and the engineer to build a relationship of knowing when to involve each other. @DHODonnell and I had a this going when we both worked together. We knew each other strengths and weaknesses. Aka teamwork #avintheam
@SharathSAbraham @chris_neto @DHODonnell Wrong answer sorry. If it is a repeat trusted client, maybe, but it is still speculation unless sold.Perhaps you're speaking of a SE not an Engineer.Yes in that case sometimes that risk of time invested. #AVintheAM. Sales sets no process, mgt set it and ask permission to break
@SharathSAbraham @chris_neto Absolutely! The relationship between the two has to be there in order to properly navigate the process. Every deal, org, & client are all different. #teamwork will always yield the best results for the client and the vendor. #AVinTheAM #AVTweeps #Sales
@SharathSAbraham @chris_neto @DHODonnell True teamwork! My Sakes Engineer renamed Solutions Engineer is my #rideordie
@SharathSAbraham @chris_neto @DHODonnell I strive for this with my AMs I support. We have some all-star account managers on the @SonyProUSA B2B team. It's been a joy over this last year and a half to see the relationships grow between AM and SSE. Critical for whole department success.
