people see dubai and assume that's the goal. the city is just where i live. the goal was never palm trees. it was never needing to check the price of groceries. i watched my parents do that math my whole childhood. trading was the vehicle. the work was the price. still paying it daily.

no setup is a position. cash while price is in the middle of nowhere isn't missing out. it's the only correct trade available. i'd rather take 3 clean trades a week than 15 maybes. flat is a position. learn to hold it.

your losses aren't the problem. your reaction is. every profitable trader takes losses every single week. planned, small, accepted before entry. the unprofitable ones take the same losses, then immediately try to win them back. same loss. two completely different futures.

prop firms don't beat traders. drawdown rules just expose what was always there. risking 2 percent when your plan says half. revenge trading the loss back. doubling lots on a friday. the firm didn't take your account. your risk did. survive first. profit is a side effect.

the guru needs you to believe trading is hard so the secret stays worth paying for. truth: the concepts fit on one page. supply and demand, liquidity, structure, risk. what's actually hard is doing the same boring thing for years without sabotaging yourself. nobody can sell you that part.

your entries aren't the problem. your direction is. if the daily is selling, your 5 minute longs are donations. higher timeframe gives the direction. lower timeframe gives the entry. in that order, every time. most traders do it backwards and wonder why clean setups keep failing.

nobody talks about how boring good trading is. mark the zone. wait. price isn't there yet. wait. still not there. close the laptop. come back. wait. then one clean entry and you're done for the day. if you need excitement, this isn't your business. this is a waiting game with money attached.

the move you keep missing happens in two parts. first, price runs the obvious level and takes everyone's stops. then the real move starts, without you. you're not unlucky. you're entering where the market collects fuel, not where it spends it. trade after the sweep, not before it.

a supply zone isn't magic. it's where orders got left behind. price moved away aggressively because someone big couldn't fill everything at once. when price returns, the rest of those orders are waiting. that's the whole concept. no indicator needed.

most traders draw support and resistance. the market doesn't see lines. it sees liquidity. stops resting above highs and below lows. price doesn't reverse at your line. it reverses after it's taken what's sitting just past it. stop marking where you'd react. start marking where everyone else's stops are.

you don't lose because the strategy is bad. you lose because you moved your stop, added to the loser, and called it conviction. the edge was never the setup. it's whether you follow it on the day it scares you. discipline is the strategy. the rest is decoration.
