East Baton Rouge has 129,000 registered Black voters, but only 9,000 have voted so far. That’s not enough to ensure our communities have the power to influence decisions that impact our lives. Early voting ends Saturday, and the time to act is now. Vote for @sharonwestonbroome for Mayor and @eugene_collins12 for City Council. The system counts on us staying home. Prove them wrong. Show up. Bring a friend. Let’s make sure every ballot tells the story of a community that refuses to be ignored. The fight for justice, opportunity, and equity doesn’t wait—neither should we. Vote early today and Saturday!

@BLeighHoward @ajc Congratulations!!! So happy for you!❤️🧡💙

Black voter turnout in Louisiana is down 26% as of this morning. In 2020, over 290,000 Black voters showed up to vote early. We are currently averaging 20,000 a day. Which means we need 78,000 Black people to vote early today to change this. The local news isn’t talking about it because they don’t want Back voters in Louisiana to go vote. The party in the state is too busy showcasing the elected officials. The elected officials are doing whatever they do, and the voters are at home, the game, the club, the festival, the second line. The people are at all the things, but the polls. Text 10 people and tell them, I know 8 in here didn’t go vote. I need that I voted sticker picture in the group chat by 6:30p. Even if you text yesterday, do it again. Be that annoying person because our tax dollars funding this government. We get a say in who leads it, when we don’t participate that’s why we don’t get funded. I’m doing my part, will you do yours? Share and let’s run em up.

@ElieNYC @karenhunter -maybe this is the lady your caller was talking about today!!!

Update: 107,690 Black people in Louisiana have gone to vote. These numbers are down from 2020. We now have 834,310 Black people who can got vote between now and Saturday. In the last 24 hours 10,000 of you shared the last post. Lets get active by tagging people and directly asking them do they plan to early vote. Text the video and ask them if they will go tomorrow. We can collectively run the numbers up. We live in a time where digital civic engagement is possible if we are strategic. I’m not talking just to talk, I’m telling you we can do something everyday until the last day to vote on November 5th. They win, because we think we can’t do anything. We can. So let’s do something. There are 800,000 Black people in Louisiana remaining to vote. If we can do better we can fight to get funding to win our own statewide races.

Every registered voter in Pennsylvania can vote by mail — no excuse needed. Request your mail-in ballot by Oct. 29 and make sure to return it as soon as possible! iwillvote.com/pa
