TDIH: (1783) The first group of Loyalists arrive in Shelburne, Nova Scotia. The Maritimes eventually became home to 30,000 Loyalists. Of these, approximately 3,000 were Black Loyalists, free Black people who came to start a new life in Nova Scotia. (1/2)
On behalf of the PC Caucus, I extend my heartfelt condolences to his beautiful children, extended family and many friends. The Cameron family asks for privacy at this difficult time.
In his public life, Don Cameron always did what he felt was right - as Premier, this meant reform measures like strengthening our human rights law to protect LGBTQ community from discrimination. Deepest sympathies to his children & grandchildren #nspoli
