For the last couple of days, I have been thinking about something that happened to my family and how differently it is being looked at now. When transgender pastor Aaron Miller filed a DCF complaint against me, I was accused of neglecting and abusing my daughter because I would not affirm her “male” identity. A DCF social worker came to my house. Ilene was not home. But she saw my home. She saw all the pictures in the photo album —years of memories full of love. She saw the environment my daughter lived in. She could see that Ilene was not homeless, that she had a home, that she was loved and welcomed. And yet I was still considered “unsafe” for my own daughter. Why? Because I did not agree that my daughter was a boy. Because I did not agree to use male pronouns. At the hearing, every professional involved—including the judge and lawyers—used male pronouns for my daughter. Yes, the allegations were eventually dropped. But they were dropped the day before Ilene turned 18. The case was dropped, but the damage was already done. The wedge between my daughter and me became so wide that we were never able to reconnect. I was not allowed on the Rider University campus because I was considered “unsafe.” They wanted my daughter to be safe. Today, she is safe in her grave. She died after an overdose of Benadryl while taking testosterone. She is safe, just like Yaeli Martinez. And now I look at these two documents. The Yaeli Martinez Child Protection Act, introduced by @SenEricSchmitt , addresses whether parents should face child-welfare action because they raise their child according to the child’s sex rather than affirming a claimed gender identity. And just days before, @HeritageForReal published a factsheet titled “Affirming a Child’s Sex Is Not Abuse,” making many of the same arguments about parents, child welfare, schools, doctors and other professionals. I keep coming back to one question: How much training did the people surrounding my daughter receive? What were her high school personnel taught? What were her karate coaches taught? What was transgender pastor Aaron Miller taught? What was her transgender therapist taught? What was her endocrinologist taught? What was Rider University taught? And what were the DCF social workers and other professionals including judge involved in my case taught? Because when a mother can be labeled abusive and unsafe simply because she does not agree that her daughter is a boy, I think these are reasonable questions to ask. What were these people taught? Who taught them? And most importantly, when the decisions they made have consequences, who takes responsibility? These are questions I have been asking for a long time. On September 22, Do No Harm sent a letter to the Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services requesting a formal investigation into Planned Parenthood and its regional affiliates for potential medical coding fraud related to the cross-sex hormones they prescribe. As detailed in Do No Harm's complaint, our investigation suggests Planned Parenthood and its affiliates may be perpetrating a nationwide miscoding scheme to conceal services for sex-rejecting procedures and to facilitate improper insurance reimbursements for cross-sex hormones. Our investigation: 👇 Using medical and prescription claims data, we identified approximately 5,700 patients, age 22 and younger, who appear to have received between 11,000 and 12,000 gender-related prescriptions from Planned Parenthood affiliates between 2015 and 2025. Then came the red flags. 🚩 Of these 5,700 patients, about 800 received 1,100–1,200 hormone prescriptions seemingly linked to gender dysphoria but lacking a gender dysphoria diagnosis code for the associated medical office visit. Instead of using codes for gender identity disorders, Planned Parenthood affiliates repeatedly utilized codes unrelated to gender dysphoria such as: 🔴 E34.9: Endocrine disorder, unspecified; and 🔴 Z51.81: Therapeutic drug-level monitoring In addition, Planned Parenthood affiliates have openly advertised a practice of strategically miscoding medical encounters for gender-related mental disorders to facilitate insurance reimbursement. Why does this matter? 🤔 Medical diagnosis codes exist for a reason: they tell health insurers, including taxpayer-funded programs like Medicaid and Medicare, exactly what condition is being treated and whether treatment qualifies for reimbursement. When a provider intentionally uses an inaccurate medical code for a medical condition, this isn't a harmless error. It's fraud by which claims can circumvent the scrutiny they may otherwise face. And cross-sex hormones warrant scrutiny. Sex rejecting procedures lack evidentiary justification, and there is no medical consensus that they are safe or effective for minors struggling with gender dysphoria. Many interventions pose serious, life-long risks. And every branch of the federal government has recognized the harms of certain interventions. 🚫 This is why HHS must further investigate Planned Parenthood's potential scheme. If Planned Parenthood is deliberately using incorrect medical codes to disguise sex-rejecting procedures for minors, they must be stopped. Read the press release in the comments ⬇️

At what point does risk without (bounded) consequences become a problem? What happens when we decouple these? I believe we're seeing it across society now.

When my child was falling into trans ideology, combined with gender indoctrination at school, she was into websites like Minecraft, Discord and DeviantArt. At the time, I didn't realize these platforms have private chatrooms, influencers, and online predators waiting behind screens to groom children. Many video games, such as The Sims, feature transgender role-playing, and Netflix offers many movies with these themes as well. Especially during the pandemic, I allowed her some screen time since she couldn't go out and meet her friends, completely unaware of how pervasively and blatantly these platforms promote gender ideology. In fact, transgenderism has evolved into an extreme form of commercialism.

A landmark Finnish study has found a sharp rise in psychiatric illness among adolescents following sex-alteration procedures. The peer-reviewed study, published in Acta Paediatrica, tracked every young person under 23 who contacted Finland's gender clinics between 1996 and 2019. A total 2,083 individuals were studied, with 16,643 matched controls. They were followed for up to 25 years. Finland's health registers are mandatory, which means no one opts out — this is the complete national picture. The numbers: psychiatric morbidity rose from 9.8% to 60.7% in adolescents who underwent feminising reassignment, and from 21.6% to 54.5% in masculinising reassignment. Even after adjusting for prior psychiatric history, gender-referred adolescents faced five times the risk of male population controls, and three times the risk of female controls. "Psychiatric needs do not subside after medical gender reassignment," the authors concluded. Referrals after 2010 arrived sicker. 47.9% had already needed psychiatric treatment before their first clinic visit, against 15.3% among controls. The authors' read: for some adolescents, gender distress may be secondary to other mental health challenges. The evidence keeps mounting. The silencing continues anyway. How many more adolescents will be told this is "care"?
