@ke7ll5 @engadget Antiquated terminology by the NHTSA. Back when cars had to physically go back to a shop to replace a faulty part.

@thisbrowngeek @onbeeper That requires both parties to have WhatsApp. You're not convincing iPhone people to switch their app. US users rely on system-integrated messaging to take advantage of SMS texting which does not require WiFi or incur data charges.

@thisbrowngeek @onbeeper We don't care about iMessage. We care that iMessage users are on an island, whereas only they can receive high quality messages from other iMessage users, and our quality is downsampled because Apple chooses to do so to those outside of iMessage.

@spacebaralot @miikheal_ace @jmwilt21 True, but there is an implicit bias towards native messaging apps as being most secure for users. Unfortunately, Apple users have been unknowingly duped because Apple is it's own middleman in sending messages, and controls access. That is why issues exist in reply responses only.

@onbeeper My problem is Apple only controlling messages from being sent to non-iUsers after registration now. Everyone receives messages just fine, but cannot respond to us! The Applegate must be broken open!

@ConsumerReports Define clean. Sanitized or just visibly clean? Dishwasher will sanitize completely using steam. You would burn your hands off before you finished a load!
