@roddreher If I were ranking the causes: 1-Global diesel refining shortages & refinery outages (largest factor) 2-Loss of Russian diesel exports 3-Middle East shipping & supply disruptions from the Iran conflict 4-Very high, inflexible diesel demand 5-Limited spare refining capacity in US

@roddreher The issue is less about crude oil itself and more about the world's limited ability to turn crude into diesel and move that diesel to market. That's why diesel prices can stay elevated even when gasoline prices or crude oil prices don't rise as much.

@ewarren If every dollar was taxed for social security going forward, it would only keep the trust fund liquid for another 5-6 yrs to 2038-2040. Don’t kick the can down the road by taxing us into a depression on personal incomes and businesses.

@roddreher When you live in the historical religious and poorest parts of the country, the cultural response to give to others is built in over generations.

@johnvarlas Think he’s yelling at the other coaches for someone on their sideline coming in the field. The offender might be known or related to the opposing coaches. Just a guess.

@TimHarford Thank you for talking about GLP-1. I’ve told my wife several years now it’s being prescribed like Phen-Phen.

@johnvarlas Communication methods changed which also changed communication styles. And that’s not even counting normal generational differences.

@johnvarlas Engagement to start a conversation that leads to other topics and scam opportunities. Like it or not we're old, John, and the scam algorithms throw a really wide net.

@jimiuorio The cap rose from $51.3k 1990 to $184.5k 2026. The cap continues via a statutory indexing formula tied to national wages. Expect the SS earnings cap to rise to roughly $215k by 2030; that’s a 4x growth in Gen X’s earning years. But let’s make it right for Boomers & Millennials.

@C_Low_30 @EverythingRebs Ole Miss fan and unfortunately this is correct. Front foot moved back and didn’t set before moving back foot to disengage. It wasn’t the pitch com movement with his arms.
