I have been working on my business venture (right now candy making) and it's going really well. People LOVE the flavors. The problem? Me. I am used to negative and getting positive feedback has me thrown for a loop. It's sad that I am uncomfortable with "happy".

I have not been on here much because I have been busy with making chocolates, but they have helped me keep myself in the present moment. It's especially nice since the memories of the initial trauma all came flooding in. Yay for new beginnings!
All the memories from 35 years ago came flooding back. I guess that is the point of memory recovery. I am shocked that I am still numb though. No major emotional reactions. Just *here*. I just keep waiting for the drop though. Trauma is weird.
I have not been this genuinely happy in a long time. Living with CPTSD as well as numerous health problems have made my life very depressing. Starting a new business venture though has been amazing! I cannot wait to see where it takes me! Shout out to my therapist for the help!
Had a pretty intense #therapy session today. It was one of those days where every single move my therapist made, I just hyper-focused on. One of the best things he does when I am deep in memory recovery is lean forward. It's such a small gesture, but it tells me he is there.
I am so glad I decided to start a new business venture right now. Going through memory recovery is rough, but this keeps me focused on the present moment as well as allowing me to look forward. Although, I am starting to hate chocolate now LOL Candy making is tough!

#IWillNoLongerApologizeFor how I acted when I was a teenager. I was abused my whole life and had no foundation for how I was supposed to process emotions. Both my parents neglected to get me help for my CSA and that led to years of internal unrest.
Going to restart memory recovery since I am physically back in my therapist's office tomorrow... not looking forward to it at all. #Trauma recovery is hard.

I am not sure who needs to hear this, but you do not need to hit your child to discipline them. Hitting, beating, spanking, and/or slapping are not teaching respect, they are teaching the child to fear. Discipline is about showing the child a better way.
Trauma shaped the person I am today, but until therapy, I did not even realize it. Now that I am seeking help and looking to overcome my trauma, I am learning to be the person I should have always been. It's been a tough journey, but I can see that happiness poking through.

While I will never, ever, allow myself to regret my education, while I have VERY mixed feelings about my father’s role in the amount of debt I ended up with, the ENTIRE structure of student loans is predatory, and needs to be upended. #CancelStudentDebt. All of it.
(This is probably one of the biggest betrayals in my life, as I literally pulled myself from the depths of suicide & depression at 15, to graduate & move on with my life. This is a difficult story, & my dad still doesn’t understand how much it hurts, financially AND emotionally.)

Was just watching my mum in The Barretts of Wimpole Street and in a sea of thoughts-missing & loving her- it occurred to me that i am among the first generation of kids who can see their parent(s)- talking, laughing, weeping, dancing, singing, swimming etc- amazing and wonderful
