Any tornado threat for Central Virginia will come from this northward moving line of storms extending from Greensboro to Myrtle Beach. Once this line passes, the tornado threat will end. It’s moving around 45-55mph.

A hot & humid day is in store before thunderstorms again develop this afternoon. Storms likely last into this evening as they gradually shift inland. Locally heavy rainfall is likely with any storm & isolated flash flooding will be possible, especially in urban locations.
