27th-28th September, 1993 were a set of particularly record cold September days across the Midlands and southern U.K. OTD in 1993 central London saw a max of only +10°C! Some places in the Midlands remained in single digits!
A couple of chilly observations over the last 24 hours. Manston only reached a maximum of 13.8°C yesterday and was the coldest for the date since 2020 (12.5°C). This morning's minimum was a chilly 8.1°C and the coldest of the month so far.
