There's more suicide in the news, just awful awful loss. So let me say: when I was feeling those things -> friends, spouses, medical professionals all helped me continue to be here. You HAVE to talk to someone. Someone present locally. Tell someone. Please. It's OK to not be OK.

Today: I begin my hunt for a therapist. I have a place to start (thanks @TheMrScottEvans), so wish me luck. As soon as I find one that fits, I'll update you on my progress and try to share any useful tools I'm given to deal with my anger issues in case they work for others. 🙂

My mom (40+ years on depression meds) told me something that resonated with me and convinced me to seek my own help: "No one calls you weak for having a doctor fix your broken leg. Why should it be any different for a broken brain?" You MADE the strong choice @littlesiha. 💜

27 yrs ago I was on stage doing a show. The lights came up, I was hustled off and told both my parents had been killed in an auto accident. It took me ten years to allow myself to go to therapy, which changed everything for the better. If you’re in pain, it’s ok to ask for help

I unpacked a lot in therapy today. The main point being: the realization that I've not only been grieving, but that I have survivor's guilt from getting to the hospital soon enough to not die from COVID. I've not been fair to myself and it was a powerful moment.
