Usually an index will touch its 18D (moving average) once in a month. In December 2023, most indices (SP, DOW, QQQ, Russell, and TLT) did not touch their 18D. All have to start Jan 2024 except the DOW. The SPY chart shows its streak above its 18DMA and decline to it in Jan.
