#CovidTwitter any idea why 4 months after an infection I’m still regularly testing faintly pos on flowflex? Not on other rapid tests. I have M.E already so tricky to tell if I have long covid symptoms but I don’t think so! (Yet). Scares me 😳 #CovidIsntOver

Try telling the DWP to #AskDontAssume. Trying to get PIP they ask what I can and cannot do for myself, I answer, they assume I’m a massive liar and decide they know best. How many are denied with ‘you have said you have difficulty with X. I have decided you can do X unaided’?

Never mind the NHS in crisis. The airborne pandemic we’re ignoring. The inaccessible employment market. The large extra costs disabled people are facing. The degrading/dangerous benefits process. Let’s ask: Is it wrong for sick people to receive benefits? A disgusting question.

Others with #MECFS that get flu-like symptoms with flares, have you found anything to help with the sore glands and ears? A decade of this and I’ve still not figured it out. Doing my usual paracetamol, humidifier, hot drinks and warm compress but any other ideas welcome!

One of the biggest misconceptions around covid is that feeling safe = being safe. People in power want you to feel safe so that you’ll do things, so they tell you it’s all fine. But it’s not fine. Nothing is being done to *actually* make this any better. And it’s infuriating.

I still often try to warn people of the risks associated with covid, and that risk factors go up with each reinfection. They look at me and say ‘the news is saying the exact opposite’. It makes me so sad so many are being lied to, over and over. #CovidIsntOver

So many healthy folk think I’m wrong with my risk assessment when it comes to covid. Funny that. When I’ve spent a decade with a fluctuating chronic illness that involves risk calculation from the moment I open my eyes each morning. I’d say I’m not too bad at it, actually.
