5/ Christians should test every doctrine by Scripture — not emotion, hype, or tradition. Truth does not fear examination. 📖 #HolySpirit #BibleStudy #Christianity

4/ Galatians 5 says the fruit of the Spirit is love, peace, patience, and self-control. The greatest evidence of the Holy Spirit is not falling in a service… It’s living a holy and transformed life afterward.

3/ Yes, there are moments in Scripture where people fell before God in fear, awe, or weakness. But those were rare divine encounters — not repeated church rituals used as evidence of spirituality.

2/ The phrase “slain in the Spirit” never appears in the Bible. When the Holy Spirit moved in Acts, people preached boldly, repented, obeyed the gospel, and lived transformed lives. But where do we see apostles knocking people over during worship services?

"Did the Holy Spirit Really Make People Collapse" 1/ Many Christians believe falling backward in church is proof of the Holy Spirit moving. But here’s the question: Did Jesus or the apostles ever practice what we now call “slain in the Spirit”?

The New Testament emphasizes the heart, willingness, sacrifice, and sincerity. 13/ If a church must use fear, guilt, and curses to make people give… Something is already wrong. True generosity grows best where truth, love, and conviction are taught.

sound teaching evangelism needy believers good works The question is WHETHER mandatory 10% tithing is a binding New Testament law. 12/ Giving under Christ is bigger than percentages. Some can give 10%.Some can give more. Some are struggling deeply.

Many Christians have never personally studied this topic. They simply accepted what they heard repeatedly. Always test teachings by Scripture — even popular ones. 11/ To be clear: This thread is NOT saying:“Don’t give.” Christians SHOULD support:

9/ Some churches have unfortunately turned giving into fear-based control. People are told:“You’ll be cursed if you don’t tithe.”“Your finances are blocked.”“You’re robbing God.” But the gospel is not built on financial intimidation. 10/ Here’s the deeper issue:

The New Testament actually calls believers to radical generosity: helping needy saints supporting gospel work caring for others sacrificially But generosity and legalistic tithing are not always the same thing.

Not “pay or God will curse you.” 7/ 2 Corinthians 9 teaches: “God loves a cheerful giver.” Notice:Cheerful. Not pressured. Real biblical giving flows from love and conviction — not guilt campaigns. 8/ This doesn’t mean Christians should become selfish. Far from it.

You WILL see giving. You WILL see generosity. You WILL see helping preachers and the poor. But the pattern looks different. 6/ Paul taught giving should be: willing cheerful from the heart according to ability Not forced. Not manipulated through fear.

You can’t selectively bind one part of the Law while ignoring the rest. 5/ Here’s something that shocks many people: After Jesus established the New Covenant… You never see Christians commanded to give a mandatory 10% tithe to the church. Read the New Testament carefully.

So the modern version often doesn’t even match the original system. 4/ Now ask yourself this: If Christians today must obey Old Testament tithing laws… Then why don’t we also: keep animal sacrifices? observe ceremonial laws? follow Levitical priesthood rules?

It was connected to: crops livestock Levites temple service national Israel 3/ In the Old Testament, there were multiple tithes. Not just one simple “10% paycheck rule.” Some scholars estimate Israel gave far more than 10% when everything was included.

Usually they quote Malachi 3. But is that passage actually talking to New Testament Christians? 2/ Here’s what many churches never explain: Biblical tithing was part of the Law of Moses given to Israel. It wasn’t originally a modern church salary system.
