As you may have seen on Facebook one of our squads was hit. This summer we’ve had a few close calls with deputies being hit. Thankfully all deputies are ok. But it’s a great reminder that when you see lights, slow down and move over.

This little guy was reported to be hanging out on the side of the road in Scandia. Deputy Booth was able to get the Raptor Center to come and help this guy out! Thanks to the citizen who reported it to us! #ruralpatrol

A Hugo deputy attempted to stop a motorcycle this afternoon. The rider decided not to stop and fled the deputy. The pursuit entered Ramsey and Anoka County until State Patrol air support could get over head. The suspect was eventually apprehended and taken into custody.

Lake Elmo residents. We hear your concerns of speeding and illegal passing on Lake Elmo Ave south of downtown due to the construction in the area. We are doing our best. We will continue to do dedicated patrols in the area. Citation for speed was issued for speed here.

Alright folks, we know road closures and detours suck. But let’s follow the posted detour route for 10th Street and Manning in Lake Elmo. It has not even been a day of the road being closed and there are too many people using the neighborhood as their personal detour route.

Your Scandia deputy has checked in. He issued two parking violations at Big Marine boat launch. Conducted three stops, two verbal warnings and one citation for driving after revocation.

Traffic for a revoked driver led this deputy to find drugs on the driver. After being in custody while we investigated she claimed to have swallowed drugs. She was released to EMS for evaluation.

Couple of traffic stops were done on 94. One was conducted in Landfall for registration expired over a year. Citation was issued.

Couple notable traffic stops. One was stopped in Hugo for going 68 in a 55. Citation was issued. In Mahtomedi, expired registration was noticed. Driver was cited for expired registration and open container of marijuana.

Our water deputies are busy focusing on boater safety with Operation Dry Water. More boat stops on White Bear Lake, Forest Lake and the Saint Croix River with warnings and citations issued.
